Rapper and politician Bobi Wine has been trendingn for days now after he was arrested after campaigning in Arua, Uganda.

So, far, no one knows where Bobi Wine is being detained by the Ugandan military.

It was reported by Ugandan press that Bobi Wine was tortured upon his arrest and the two lawyers who represent Bobi Wine said he is in a very worrying state and was badly tortured.

They went on to say that he cannot stand, sit or even walk on his own. His face is badly deformed and he has a fractured back and hip. He has wounds all over his body, including one on his head and ear.

Well, there have been mixed reactions about his arrest as celebrities have come out to join the movement #FreeBobiWine.

Among celebrities who are all up for the release of Bobi Wine is Sauti Sol, who took to social media in support of the release of the MP.

They wrote:

Boniface Mwangi who is also in support of Bobi Wine’s release took to social media to respond to Sauti Sol’s post.

He threw major shade.

“Sauti Sol is here doing a political tweet. Hopefully they can learn from Mariam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, Fela Kuti, Aretha Franklin, Harry Belafonte etc that it’s the work of artists to use their art to speak truth to power. Good start. Now don’t stop! Sing about impunity too.”
